How to Mount a Projector Without Drilling

An excellent option to improve your home entertainment system or make a presentation area that is professional is to mount a projector.

But many people are afraid to drill holes in their walls to mount a projector, especially if they’re renting a house or flat.

However, there are a few other ways to mount a projector that don’t involve drilling, and they can work just as well.

In this article, I will be sharing my personal 5 different methods and give you a detailed instructions for how to mount a projector without drilling.

Using Hanging Strips

Without drilling, hanging strips are a common projector mounting solutions which I have found.

You can simply attach this hanging strips to the projector’s back and subsequently to the wall.

These strips can sustain the weight of most projectors and can also be removed easily without causing any damage to the wall.

Remember it is very important to select a high-quality hanging strip which can firmly hold the projector and stays securely in place.

L-Shaped Wall Hangers

Another option is to install the projector using L-shaped wall. These hangers may be easily fastened to the wall with adhesive and are made to be used without drilling.

Once set up, the L-shape offers the projector a stable platform to rest on.  For projectors that are heavier and need a mounting platform that is more stable, L-shaped wall hangers are a good choice.

Note: In my case as I don’t want to spend any money. I made my hanger out of wood, but you can use any other strong material you want.

Projector Screen Stand

A projector screen stand is just another excellent alternative to drilling that can be utilized in the mounting of a projector.

These stands can be adjusted for the right height and angle while holding the projector firmly in place.

They do not need to be installed and can be moved about simply, making them a flexible and practical choice that can be used in a variety of settings.

Brick Clamps

Brick clamps are a good alternative to drilling holes in your brick wall if you want to mount your projector screen.

To mount your projector screen using brick clamps, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the appropriate brick clamp type for your projector screen. Make sure the clamp you use has the strength to support the weight of your screen.
  • Use rubbing alcohol to clean the brick surface where you are planning to put your screen, doing this the clamp will attach more firmly as a result.
  • Now place the clamp on the brick where you wish to mount your screen after opening it.
  • Securely tighten the clamp, and be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions when tightening it.
  • With the help of proper hardware, secure the screen on the clamp. Depending on the sort of clamp you’re using this may require screws or other fasteners.
  • Test the mount to ensure that it is secure. See if the screen moves or wobbles by giving it a gentle shake. If it does, tighten the clamp further.

Note: Remember that not all types of brick walls will work with brick clamps. A brick clamp could not hold firmly if the surface of your wall is very rough or uneven. If so, you might want to think about a different non-drilling mounting option for your projector screen.
