Luke List Childhood

Luke was born on 14th January 1985 in Seattle, Washington USA. As per 2023 his current age is 37 years old. His parents, father Mark List and mother Bonney List are all American Swimmers.

Luke’s mother, Bonney is a Pan-American Gold Medallist. She is also in two Halls of Fame. His father was a swimmer at the University of North Carolina. Sadly, Luke’s father passed away in 2015.

Luke has two sisters, Bekah and Sarah who were both collegiate swimmers.

Despite coming from a family of swimmers, Luke hated swim practices. Instead, he enjoyed practicing golf. That’s how his love for golf came about from an early age.

Luke attended Baylor High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He went on to graduate from Vanderbilt University in 2007.

During his time at the University, he was ranked among the top most amateur golfers in the United States. He achieved All-American honours for all four years at his University.

Luke List was the runner-up at the 2004 United Stated Amateur, falling to Ryan Moore. Following his win, he was extended an invitation to play in the 2005 Masters. He finished at T33 and recorded an ace during the Par 3 Contest. He also won the Jones Cup Invitational award in the same year.

In 2006, he player in the Korn Ferry Tour’s Chattanooga Classic.

After graduating from the university, Like turned Professional Golfer in 2007.

Previously, he used to play for the Korn Ferry Tour but currently plays from the PGA Tour. He plays from Augusta, GA, United States.

Luke has played 177 games to date. Out of those, he made the cut in 91 of the games.

In 2007, Luke played for four PGA Tours but failed to make the cut in all of them. He also played on the Hooters Tour and Gateway Tour in 2008.

He bagged his first Hooters Tour win at the Bridgestone Winter Series event in 2009. Luke earned his first prize money of $12,600 for winning the 2008/9 season.

In his rookie season on the PGA Tour in 2013, he made nine cuts in 24 starts. But the year 2014 didn’t bring any good news for List.

Luke made 24 starts, three top-10s, five top-25s, and 13 cuts in the Korn Ferry season of 2015. He was 44th in the final priority-ranking order and 64th in earnings. He played in the FedExCup Playoffs for the first time in 2016. This year he made his first million in prize money. 

In 2017, he made 21 cut-outs in 30 games. He earned a total of $2.7 Million in prize money. This remains the highest earning of his career to date.

List played in the FedExCup Playoffs for the third consecutive year in 2018. He finished at No. 45. He won his second Korn Ferry Tour Title in 2020 at the Korn Ferry Challenge at the TPC Sawgrass.

Luke won the Farmers Insurance Open in 2022 against Will Zalatoris. This was his first PGA Tour victory. He also qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs for the seventh consecutive year. He advanced to the BMW championship for the third time. He earned more than $2.5 million in 2022.

Luke won two major titles on the Korn Ferry Tour. One at South Georgia Classic Tournament in 2012 and another at Korn Ferry Challenge Tournament at TPC Sawgrass in 2020-21.
